Today some of the team from FBT Transwest joined in the 2024 Nurdle Hunt - Operation Clean Up organized by Chemistry Australia and Tangaroa Blue Foundation.
Taken at Patterson River in Carrum, this idyllic spot was chosen to clean up plastic beads and rubbish that enters into our waterways and environment.
Over the space of just one hour today and a space of just 100 metres, over 120,000 plastic particles were removed from the waters edge. An additional 31kg of plastic rubbish was also removed.
It was truly mind blowing how much plastic waste sat laying on the ground unnoticed.

This event saw a great turnout from industry members, Chemistry Australia, the EPA and community partners.
The event aims to help identify sources of plastic resin pellet loss, as well as opportunities for the industry to work collaboratively through their supply chains to reduce the loss of plastic resin pellets into the environment.
Cameron was supported by members of the FBT Transwest sales team and pictured with the Chemistry Australia Chairman David Hawkins and Board Members Kim Dobson & Russell Schroeter.
